This role reports in person to one of our regional New York State offices.

The MLTC Intern will provide general administrative/office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks to our Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) insurance division. The MLTC Intern will be responsible for initiating member calls, directing calls to gather specific information, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, systems maintenance, as well as additional clerical duties.

Performance Responsibilities and Standards:

1. Assist with administrative tasks such as letters, mailing, and medical record management (faxing, scanning, record requests).
2. Contacting members to discuss quality measures, address updates and consent for access to our health information exchange platform and updating the member’s record accordingly.
3. Learning and utilizing SharePoint and Analytics
4. Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

1. Recent high school graduate or current college student
2. This role is required to report in person to a Nascentia organizational office
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
5. Ability to multitask

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to sit or stand 90% of the day.
2. Frequent sitting, standing, walking
3. Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written or verbal communication.
4. Ability to express self verbally and in writing.
5. Ability to use telephone and communicate over the phone.
6. Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III – Employee who rarely has contact with blood and body fluids.
