As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing complex projects within the Marketing Department. These projects encompass a wide array of responsibilities, from overseeing annual regulatory insurance projects to crafting impactful social media ads. Additionally, taking the lead in developing the Foundation Annual Report and quarterly newsletters, as well as the MLTC monthly newsletter. In addition, as a Senior Marketing Specialist you will lead marketing efforts in support of Foundation fundraising initiatives and head the marketing needs for the annual employee event.
Performance Responsibilities and Standards:
- Lead the creation and editing of customer-facing marketing materials, internal communications, articles for publication, and press releases.
- Take charge of developing and curating content for our various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Maintain brand consistency and grow our online presence by engaging with followers. Track social media metrics and report trends and insights.
- Drive daily updates and management of the social media content posting calendar.
- Utilize graphic design and copywriting skills to design advertisements, brochures, newsletters, event materials, press releases, and other collateral.
- Develop content for internal email communications and office digital displays.
- Spearhead the creation and coordination of both internal and external presentations.
- Contribute relevant content to enhance our company websites.
- Provide essential support and representation for the company at various events through meticulous planning, coordination, and active participation.
- Manage company-branded promotional items, including research, inventory management, ordering, and artwork.
- Leverage skills to provide support to other departments when needed.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned, demonstrating a commitment to the continuous success of the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience, or an associate’s degree with equivalent combination of education and experience, or six years of experience.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge and experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media best practices
- Strong working experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with ability to meet stringent deadlines and adjust quickly
- High level of interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation and speaking skills.
- Ability to interface with internal and external audiences with varying levels of experience.
- Self-starter who is highly organized and motivated, ability to multi-task.
- Ability to travel within New York state as needed (must have valid NYS driver’s license).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand at a desk 90% of the day.
- Speaking/visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication.
