*Remote role with travel, but MUST live in NYS for daily travel/assignments in the Albany, NY area supporting the following counties: Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Saratoga, Fulton, Montgomery, Washington, Columbia, Greene, and Schoharie*
The Regional Outreach Coordinator is responsible for all marketing and sales activities relating to developing, building and maintaining existing professional relationships within communities we serve as well as cultivating new relationships aimed at building/expanding Nascentia Health programs. Individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining membership enrollment in the Nascentia Health insurance plans and all other available programming and services. This position will conduct telephonic and field outreach consisting but not limited to community events, onsite provider and community office sites, as well as engaging with new and existing members. The Regional Outreach Coordinator represents the entire Nascentia Health system and must be familiar with, and able to effectively explain, communicate, and facilitate referrals to assist all Nascentia Health insurance plans, programming and services.
Performance Responsibilities and Standards:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships within the provider network.
- Cultivate new professional relationships to build Nascentia Health programs.
- Responsible for initiating new and retaining current membership and must meet metrics designed to achieve higher membership retention.
- Represent Nascentia Health and all its entities at community outreach events/sponsorships.
- Develop and implement community outreach strategy and plan. This includes coordination, tracking and execution of a wide range of senior support offices, community events and sponsorships.
- Assist with development and coordination of presentations.
- Meet with eligible participants with the goal of education, presenting product information, and assisting with enrollment needs.
- Provides ongoing assistance to members as necessary, answering questions and/or directing inquiries to Customer Service.
- Screen applicant eligibility, review and validate documentation necessary for enrollment into NYS sponsored Health Insurance Program.
- Continually monitors activities of health industry competitors and provides information to management.
- Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional.
- Serve on specialty Nascentia Health Committees as needed and take lead on needed initiatives that fall within scope of practice.
- Promote a positive customer service approach to client and employee contact, internally and externally.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred with at least 2 years health insurance or marketing/sales experience, or 5 years work related marketing/sales experience in the health care field.
- Current NY Health Insurance License or have the ability to obtain it within three months from date of hire.
- New York State resident - *daily travel in and around the Albany region required*
- Customer/client Focus. Strong interpersonal skills in working with senior and frail adult population.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with ability to meet stringent deadlines and quickly adjust according to system needs.
- Excellent writing skills with strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to support and interface with a wide cross section of internal and external audiences with varying levels of experience.
- Strong working knowledge of, and experience using a wide variety of software platforms including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Self-starter who is highly organized and motivated with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to travel within New York State as needed (must have valid NYS driver’s license).
- Must ensure compliance with all regulatory, audit and corporate policies.

Physical Requirements:
- Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III – Employee who rarely has contact with blood and body fluids.
- Must be able to travel throughout NYS on a regular basis.
- Speaking/visual/hearing ability must be sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking.
- Extended periods of computer use.
- Ability to express self verbally and in writing.
- Ability to verbally communicate over a telephone.
