This role is required to report in person to our Syracuse, NY Nascentia organizational office Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Performance Responsibilities and Standards:

1. Assist in updating, maintaining, and improving the organization’s websites in accordance with the organization’s needs, policies and procedures, and security solutions; collaborates closely with Marketing/Communications and IT Department.
2. Build and modify web pages using content management systems (such as WordPress) and coding languages (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
3. Ensure website content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with branding and communication guidelines.
4. Create visually appealing layouts, graphics, and multimedia elements for web pages using design tools such as the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Canva.
5. Assist with keyword research and optimization of web content for search engines. Implement and refine SEO strategies to improve website visibility and search rankings.
6. Use Google Analytics and other digital marketing tools to track website performance and user engagement.
7. Conduct User Acceptance and User Experience Testing website testing to ensure functionality, performance, and responsiveness across different devices and browsers.
8. Identify and resolve technical issues, broken links, or formatting errors to maintain a high-quality user experience.
9. Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in web design, development, and digital marketing.
10. Assist employees with using company websites through one-on-one support and training sessions.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. 1-3 years of experience in web design, development, or a related field
2. Bachelor’s degree in web design, digital media, computer science, or Associate Degree with equivalent professional experience required
3. Experience working with website content management platforms (such as WordPress).
4. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
5. Familiarity with graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
6. Understanding of SEO principles and ability to assist with optimizing website content.
7. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
8. Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team to meet stringent deadlines
9. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
11. Organized and highly motivated; ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to sit or stand 90% of the day.
2. Speaking/visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication.
